Remixes are where someone creates a work of art or invention, and others are inspired by it to work to improve the work of art or invention. Remix Culture describes awareness and engagement with remix media. A remix can be defined as taking one or more media and creating a new product in the editing process. I would like to say that there is no exact boundary in remix culture and it is free. Sometimes a remix of work gets more attention and likes than the original work. An unpopular piece can become popular thanks to remixes. No matter how good it may seem, remixing can have negative consequences. If those want to remix the work without permission or credit to the original owner of the work, it may be a crime. Because there is the fact of copyright. However, in Henry Jenkins's interview with Owen Gallagher, Owen talks about holding a remix culture contest. He says '' The Total Recut Video Remix Challenge is a contest that we are hosting to try to encourage people to think about the issues around remix culture and creating remixed media. We want people to create a short video remix that uses footage from any source to communicate the message: 'What is Remix Culture? '' this competition directs people to remix culture. From my point of view, this is wrong. As much as I like some remixed works, original works are more important to me. As such competitions instill a remix culture, the truth of copyright will increase. The real problem is not whether the original owners of the works make money, the real problem is the decline of original works.
