Selfie and Beyond Hicret YÃœCEL 190530057

Although selfies are very simple front camera shots, they actually hide much more information. The oldest selfie is considered to be the photograph taken by the American Robert Cornelius in 1839. The selfie technique, which has been carried over to the present day, has become one of the most popular photographing methods today. Selfie has now become quite normal and commonplace on people's social media. Moreover, the hashtags taken with the selfies can often become challenges or popular. One of them is the recent coronavirus vaccine. Selfies taken during and after vaccination have a much greater impact on people. Especially if the people who take these selfies are well-known or famous people who shape the society, more people are affected. Actually, taking selfies is more than that. Evidence of the statement "I am here, I am here and I am here" to others. Although it is sometimes seen as simple, we can understand the economic class, status, place, and maybe even the time taken. Even though the selfie is very simple, as a result of the scientific research done in a documentary I watched on Netflix, it was revealed that women who want to make themselves look beautiful to the opposite sex unintentionally take selfies from the top, without being aware of each other. Thus, their eyes and foreheads are large, and other body organs are small. So this is perceived by the opposite sex as younger and more fertile. Men, on the other hand, take selfies from a downward angle so they're taller and dominating. In the animal world this means "good at finding food", while in the human world it means "rich". The selfie, which we have reduced to simplicity, contains much deeper meanings.
