Remix culture is a widespread digital cultural phenomenon that is a term that encourages new creative works by remixing the original or old ones. For example, remixed songs or remixed videos are changed differently from the original content. Most remixed contents are liked and generally be entertaining by especially social media users. Because such things easily pay people's attention. But some of them argue that such unintended use of media content is a violation of copyright laws, while others argue that this creativity and talent should not be limited by copyright laws.
I agree with the second of these views, but that doesn't mean it's completely right always. I mean, creative remixed videos made for entertainment and useful purposes shouldn't be limited by copyright for the people who make the songs, so sometimes some content can be even more fun than the original, and people like and even share this type of remixed content. For example, ''Remix Adam'' in Turkey, entertains his followers with such remixed content. In fact, in my opinion, content that is reproduced within a certain framework should not be limited. On the contrary, these talents should give a chance. Because especially in some cases, this kind of remix culture can even change the course of song culture for the better. Or sometimes the next trailers of known movies are remade, making that movie more curious by viewers. Examples include the remixed trailer for The Shinning's remixed trailer, The Gray Album's remixed version, and the trailer of Ghost In The Shell remixed by famous DJ Steve Aoki. It's not just for movies, it's also available for edits that combine music and video clips, and many other types of videos.
However, unfortunately, in some political situations, the content of the remix culture, which is intended for defamatory purposes, requires limiting them to copyright. It's why I said it's not always completely right.
