Misleading Effects of Internet Trolls - Elif Aslı Taşdemiroğlu Onbaşı (211004072)

Ä°nternet is a world where people can share their ideas with hidden, private or real Identities.

People can express themselves by posting comments on various posts, news, topics or media sources.

As Covid 19 spread across the world like a contagious disease, there was a similar spread on social media in terms of comments made.

There were opinions about how to cure, stop the spread of the epidemic or about the benefits of using masks.

This was not different when vaccination started to reduce the negative impacts of the disease on human health.

There were positive comments supporting the benefits of vaccination but there was also another side where people strongly claimed the negative consequences of vaccination and protested the vaccination process.

They presented many examples and claimed evidences about the negative results of the vaccination.

This approach discouraged many people from getting vaccinated. Although there are scientific evidence and proof that vaccination provides strong protection against

negative effects of Covid 19, many people believed negative comments against vaccination and opposed vaccination.

As a result people rejected vaccination were among those who lost the most life. Here we can see how seriously comments on social media can influence people. This case should be a strongexample of responsibility that we should bear for our posts on social media.
