Every nation and every country in the world has a history and historical events. Historical documents, belongings, everything they can keep is archived in order to pass on history to future generations. So what does archive mean? An archive is "a place in which public records or historical documents are preserved" (Merriam-Webster). Archives contain archival materials, which "are information objects that serve as evidence of past events" (Peter Van Garderen, 2007). Some institutions may have a clearer meaning to the two terms, but "special collections" are often at least related to "archives," if not synonymous. The archive system has turned into digital archives with the development of technology. A digital archive is a digitized version of paper documents or images, that is, converted into digital data. In recent years, efforts have been made to digitize Ottoman and Republican archives using the latest technology. For example, we can find digitally the newspaper "AYDEDE", which was published in 1948, in the archive of the University of Bonn. The archive contains the original photograph of the newspaper and the information in it is readable and even translated into different languages. The difference between digital archives from normal archives is that the archives of any state and nation can be easily accessed from anywhere in the world.
