Gaming Culture--Yavuz Deveci 180530003

There are millions of people all over the world today playing games on their mobile phones, computers, and Consoles. Every video game has different motives and audience goals. To summarize, the mobile platform, which has grown rapidly in the last two decades due to the developments in mobile technologies, has the largest share in the video game industry. Mobile games, also known as casual games, are mostly played by people who were not gamers in the past, such as our parents or even our grandparents. However, if we are talking about core gaming culture video game consoles have been the primary devices for playing video games since the beginning. There are three major video game consoles, Sony's Playstation, Microsoft's XBOX, and Nintendo's consoles with various names, and we can say that they are targeting a niche audience. In addition, although consoles are more expensive than other platforms, pay extra, and are more dependent on the home environment, the experience they offer to the players is priceless. PC, my favorite video game platform, occupies a magnificent place in video game history, just like consoles. Unlike consoles, PC is not seen as a niche platform by gamers as we don't just use PCs for gaming and other things. The reason I like PC more than others is the advantage it offers to gamers. For example, I prefer to play FPS (First Person Shooter) games on PC because I am uncomfortable with the controller.
