In our world, which is developing with digitalization, we’re very accustomed to having the one that’s more practical, easier and closer in terms of accessibility. Now, we experience almost every activity in new spaces we create in the digital environment. The video content we watch on Youtube, articles saved in Google, health, invoice and commercial systems run over the e-system are all examples of digital archives. In fact, it’s found to be more beneficial than traditional archive in many respects such as keeping documents, not getting lost, preventing damage, accessing them in a practical way, supporting them with visual and related links, being accessible to everyone regardless of distance, and financial convenience. In the simplest way, before going to your school library, you can access digital library archive on website and find out whether a book exists or even access its digitized version from archive. The system has many features such as querying, visual support and reservation. Previously, going to the library, finding a book and borrowing it was a very long and arduous process, but now this process’s been made much easier and more practical thanks to digitalization. While our lives have been facilitated in many other areas like this, this digitalization has taken some from us. In my opinion, since the search button in archive has replaced the cashier you consulted to ask for that book;our human relations, socialization skills, solidarity and cooperation system’ve become rather atrophied and people’ve become alienated from each other.
