Algorithms have become a key element in modelling and shaping culture today. There are plenty examples in regard of how algorithms are implicated in our social and cultural lives. One of the social implications of algorithm is racial bias. Racial bias are stereotypes that ultimately affect the individual's manner and understanding. Racial bias as of one of the social implications of algorithm, that one needs to understand it as a result of inaccurate and misguided evidence and these data are used to train the algorithm and are the actual source from which bias surfaces. The health care system in the US relies on commercial algorithms to make health decisions for their patients, in which case the black patients are given significantly less care than the white patients with alike health condition. Due to the falsely trained algorithm, less money is spent on black patients with the same level of need as the white patients. As disturbing as this sounds there is no denying that this happens as a result of the failure to model algorithm with taking into account the social and cultural concepts of the society as a whole. What's really at stake in algorithmic culture is the ongoing neglect of cultural acceptance but instead algorithms are shaping a new selected cultural direction.
